Amye Scavarda Perrin

Amye Scavarda Perrin builds the connective tissue that holds communities together when things get complicated. A seasoned open source leader, legal technologist, and trained mediator, she specializes in turning complex situations into function—guiding organizations through building trust, establishing governance, and creating alignment in high-stakes environments.

Amye helps clients strengthen their open source programs and community foundations. Her background includes serving as Director of Developer Programs at the Cloud Native Computing Foundation, where she helped steer the CNCF Technical Oversight Committee during a critical period of growth. Whether it's resolving community conflict or building durable governance models, Amye's the steady hand to navigate it.

Her academic credentials match her practical experience: she holds a J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law where she graduated with a certificate in Conflict Resolution Theory and Practice (a top 10 ranked school for Dispute Resolution Law) and a forthcoming LL.M in Cybercrime, Cybersecurity, and International Law from the University for Peace (a UN Chartered University). Her published legal work explores the delicate relationship between privacy regulations and open source communities — a reflection of her commitment to justice in both digital and human systems.

She believes that strong communities don’t just need policies and licenses - they need people who know how to hold conflict with care. That’s where she does her best work.

She’s a community whisperer with a soft spot for cozy games and eerie storytelling. Her current favorite is Dredge, a fishing game with unsettling secrets and Lovecraftian horrors because Amye’s idea of relaxing still involves navigating murky waters.
